Welcome to Middle School Science! 

 

My name is Ms. Gittings (but I prefer Ms. Maggie) and this is my first full year at AMS! I am 24 years old and have lived in sunny Phoenix for 6 years. I got my Bachelors of Science in Anthropology from Arizona State University in 2018. I started working at AMS South Mountain in November of '21. I was originally a Special Education Paraprofessional before taking over the Middle School Science position in March of '22. I love to spend time with my co-workers, walk my dogs, and spend time outside, but most of all, I love teaching. Watching students learn and grow over the year is the most rewarding thing a person can experience. I take their learning seriously and feel privileged to be able to spend time with so many wonderful, creative, young minds. I look forward to meeting you all throughout the year and getting to know each and every one of you!
